1.Who we are
This website belongs to Sri Vinayaga Vidyalaya Matric School. We decide how the information you share here is used, and we are responsible for it under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

2.What we collect
Enquiries and brochure downloads: your name, mobile number and, if you give it, your email, the class you are interested in and your message.
Campus visits: your name, mobile number, email, the date and time you chose, how many people are coming and any message.
Online applications: the student's name, date of birth, gender, class and previous school; parents' or guardian's names, phone numbers, email, address and occupation; and the documents you upload (photo, birth certificate and marksheet).
Chatbot: the questions you type, and your name and number if you ask the office to call you back.
Analytics, only if you allow it: Google Analytics records which pages are visited, roughly from where, and on what kind of device. It does not tell us who you are.
3.Why we use it
To answer your enquiry, arrange and remind you of your visit, process your child's application and contact you about admission.
To send you the confirmation and reminder emails you asked for. We do not send marketing emails or share your details for advertising.
To improve the website (analytics, if you allowed it) and to keep it safe from misuse.
4.Where it is kept and who can see it
Form details are kept in the school's private Google Sheet, and uploaded documents in the school's private Google Drive folder. Only school staff who handle admissions can open them, through a password-protected dashboard.
Emails are sent through the school's Gmail account. Chatbot questions may be processed by Anthropic (the company behind the Claude AI model) to write an answer; they are not used to identify you.
We do not sell your information or share it with anyone else, except where the law requires it.
5.How long we keep it
Enquiries, visits and chatbot callbacks: up to two years. Applications and documents: for the admission year; if your child joins, they become part of the school record, otherwise we delete them within one year.
6.Children's information
Applications for a child must be made by a parent or guardian, who gives consent for the child's details on the child's behalf.
7.Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information you gave us, or withdraw your consent, by emailing or calling the office. We will respond within 30 days.
You can turn analytics off at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser; you will be asked again on your next visit.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
